Intel®, Flash Memory Programmer

The Intel&#174; Flash Memory Programmer is a PC-driven device programmer. It contains two opposite-facing SIMM connectors, one for the family module board (connector facing to left) and one for the socket module board (connector facing to right). All packages are supported via separately-available socket modules.<BR>

Family module boards come in the base kit. These voltage/ground rerouting boards are an integral part of the system that keeps costs down. They are swapped into the base tool as required to switch power and ground capabilities for various flash architectures or package pinout assignments.<BR>

Devices in the &#181;BGA* package require that the socket has the correct insert installed to properly align the solder balls with the pinch contacts. Inserts are additionally available from Yamaichi Electronics Inc.<BR>

The Intel&#174; Flash Memory Programmer comes equipped with a plug-in class 2 transformer that provides 12VAC at 2A and is designed for use with 120VAC 60Hz only. The part number is Condor WP572412 or equivalent. If the programmer is used in a non-US location running at 220-240VAC, a different power source is required. The programmer's minimum power requirement is 19VA at 12VAC. An example would be Condor's 1222014 or equivalent.<BR>
